An open letter urging for the Government to tackle puppy smuggling
Dear Government,We are writing in regards to the growing problem of puppy smuggling in our country. Every year, thousands of puppies are illegally smuggled into our country, putting their health and wellbeing at risk. Not only does this pose a danger to the puppies, but it also increases the chances of them carrying diseases which can spread to other pets and even humans.
It’s time for our government to take decisive steps to
tackle this issue and ensure the safety of these animals. We urge you to bring
in proper legislation which will make it harder for smugglers to bring puppies
into the country, and increase the punishments they face if they are caught. We
must also increase public awareness of this issue, so that people are aware of
the dangers of buying smuggled puppies and understand why it is illegal.
We hope that together we can put an end to puppy smuggling in our country and protect these innocent animals from harm.
