Emiliano Martinez takes shelter in an expensive dog!
Emiliano Martinez came to be an unexpected VIP guest of a dog breeder during the January storm, who offered the Arsenal goalkeeper a bed for the night on Thursday.
The famous footballer was found in need of a place to stay after his car became stuck in snow near Chalon-sur-Saone. He took shelter from the storm in an expensive dog kennel belonging to breeders Samuel Lompret and Evelyne Tillette, who were away from their home at Aubigny-les-Elbeufs due to flooding nearby.
The couple told France Bleu:
"We had four dogs who were there for the night and I guess Emiliano thought that if the dogs could spend the night here, so could he!
"[He] was very happy to have found this place to wait for better weather. He was freezing cold and happy to find a good place to stay."
Lompret continued:
"We returned home around midday on Friday morning, when his car had already been cleared from the road. We were very pleased to help him [get in touch with] someone from his entourage who would come and get him.said he seemed “very polite” and that Emiliano had told them about his love for dogs.
"He told us that he [liked] dogs a lot and that he had a dog of his own, named 'Chaplin' who was in Paris. He also said that he likes to train his dog himself."
